Checklists

So, two days out, and  I’m spending my time washing an obscene  amount of clothing. I’m totally uncertain so how to pack for this trip.

I’ve not had a real trip on my own in almost nine years. I had one small vacation to six flags, but I was so mentally incoherent that I barely remember a thing. It was a bad time then. It’s a little better now. I’m a lot better off and a hell of a lot wiser, but the Situation, while  out of the best intentions, is grating me.

So I pack, mixed with some  light conversation and a little reflection.

Things I note:

My own washing is small. I don’t change clothes ten times a day, and can do a weeks worth in three loads, and even then it’s not much.

Lists keep me sane. I would not be able to function without them.

Modern air travel stinks. However I think I’ve got everything for four days to go into one carryon  and  a rollaway.

I need to get a few small things from here.  A good visitor brings gifts. :)
